Russell Miller Memorial Annual Scholarship

The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student who is a History major or minor with at least a 3.0 GPA. The recipient must have 4 – 12 hours per year of community service with a recognized service agency, e.g., American Red Cross, The Salvation Army or another 501©(3) organization. To be considered for the scholarship, the applicant must submit a 500 word essay or prepare an audio or visual presentation describing one of the following: how the scholarship will be used, a description of the connections between the United States Civil War and current events in the United States today, or the reason for volunteering. The scholarship is limited to one student per year in the amount of $1,000 per year.
