Chin Family Nursing Scholarship Endowment Honoring Oseola McCarty
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a full-time student majoring in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Students may be enrolled in the traditional BSN program, the RN-BSN program, or in the Accelerated BSN path. This scholarship may be received for up to two years, as long as the student is majoring in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, is an undergraduate and maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA, or as otherwise determined by the Signature Authority, as defined in the agreement. Applicants will submit an essay on how the story of Oseola McCarty inspires them. Awards will be made at a level that ensures a substantial impact on the student and may be adjusted at the discretion of the Signature Authority to ensure the significance of the impact of the scholarship. To the extent that the annual spending allocation is in excess of the amount needed to support the named recipient(s) from this endowment, the excess spending allocation may be used for additional students.
