Thomas Benefield M.D. Memorial Endowment

The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an incoming freshman from Gulfport, Mississippi, to attend the Hattiesburg or Gulf Coast campus. The recipient must declare a major in a science or technology field, have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. In order to requalify for the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA. The recipient will be determined by the College of Arts and Sciences.
