Richard Fabian and Katherine Smith McCarthy Violin Scholarship Endowment

The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student who is enrolled in The University of Southern Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, participating in string chamber music and taking applied violin lessons each semester. The recipient must maintain adequate progress in his/her major area along with a GPA of 2.5 during his/her study. Preference shall be given to residents of the state of Mississippi. If no enrolled student from the state of Mississippi who meets the criteria is identified, this fund may also be used to provide ELI awards for violin students participating in the USM Symphony Orchestra who maintain adequate progress in the ELI.
