Natia Z. Hutchins Education of the Deaf Endowment for Scholarships

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for freshmen with a minimum 3.25 GPA entering from Callaway High School or Jackson Public Schools who are majoring in Deaf Education or Speech-Language Pathology. If no student is identified, the scholarship may be awarded to a student who is a graduate of Callaway High School or Jackson Public Schools majoring in any degree program within the School of Speech and Hearing Sciences. If no student can be found within these qualifications, the scholarship is to be deferred two years. If after a second year no recipient meets those qualifications, the scholarship may be awarded to Callaway High School or Jackson Public Schools graduates with preference given in the following order to students in any major in the Nursing, Psychology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, or the Kinesiology. This scholarship will be renewed for one year as long as the student maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.
