Laurel Metro Alumni Chapter Scholarship Endowment

The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student who (i) shall have graduated from a high school located within the Laurel Metro Alumni area, (ii) shall have graduated high school with a grade point average not less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and (iii) shall have participated in and demonstrated leadership ability in various extracurricular activities in both school and the community. Preference shall be given to an incoming freshman and to children of Southern Miss alumni. If no student from the Laurel Metro Alumni area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.
