Freshman Designation-Based: Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship - State (Mississippi Residents Only)

The Freshman Designation-Based: Distinguished Young Women’s Scholarship – State (Mississippi Residents Only) is available to students the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. Students must be admitted to the University and submit documentation by the stated deadlines. Students should only apply if they are the winner of a State level Distinguished Young Women’s competition and have official documentation.

  1. This application is for the Freshman Designation-Based Scholarship: Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship. Freshman designation-based scholarships are for students enrolling the fall semester immediately after high school graduation.

    To be considered, you must be fully admitted to The University of Southern Mississippi by December 1 and complete and submit this application, including supporting documentation for designation-based award, by July 1.
