Dr. James V. Robinson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of this fund is to award a full tuition scholarship to an academically deserving freshman with financial need and a minimum 2.5 GPA in any major in the College of Education and Human Sciences. The student should graduate from any public high school in either Simpson or Smith counties. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student maintains a 2.5 GPA. If a freshman cannot be identified, the scholarship may be awarded to a student in another academic level. If there are no qualifying applicants in any major in the College of Education and Human Sciences, the scholarship may be awarded to a student in any major who meets the other criteria. In a given year, if the spending allocation is in excess of the amount needed for full tuition, one additional scholarship may be given for the remainder of the spending allocation to a student who meets the criteria. The Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences will have the final authority to make any changes regarding the awarding of these scholarships.
