Johnson/Lockhart Scholarship Endowment - Science and Technology

The purpose of this fund is to honor the parents of USM Alumni Jeffery Wayne Johnson and Peggy Wolfe Johnson. The recipient must be a first-generation college student who is a graduate of Collins High School in Collins, Mississippi, with preference given to a USM junior or senior with an overall 2.5 GPA or better and/or financial need. When possible the award should alternate by year between a student from the College of Business and Economic Development and a student in a science or technology major. The student should be selected each year by the Coordinator of Multi-Cultural Services & Programs in the Division of Student Affairs. Further consideration, when possible, should be given to a student from the Shady Oak or Friendship communities within Collins. If all preferences cannot be met in a given year, the core requirements are a first-generation college student who graduated from Collins High School of Collins, Mississippi.
